The ASCO Prevention/Screening MOC course consists of 30 multiple-choice questions which include patient case information, detailed answer rationales and links to suggested readings. This activity provides an in-depth look at a broad spectrum of prevention and screening issues. Specific cancer domains include lung, breast, head and neck, colorectal, ovarian, cervical, melanoma, non-melanoma, prostate and liver. Other topics addressed within the cancer domains include clinical trials, chemoprevention, diet, genetic testing, nicotine addiction and alcohol use.
After successful completion of this activity, American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) diplomates are eligible to receive 10 points toward the required 20 in medical knowledge. Participants can also earn a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.
